The place is beautiful and pleasant, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. The Stay Fit Omelet is excellent, as is the burrito. The coffee has a slight bitterness, but it's not a big deal. Service is good, and the staff is quite friendly. The only downside is that everything moves very slowly. It took a long time to bring water (I asked for no ice), to take our order, and for the food to arrive. This was at 11:30 AM. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

I came with a group of 6, we made a reservation ahead of time on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was packed the whole evening - seems like a very popular spot! The dinner menu is small but has many different options like pastas, burger, and risotto. I ordered the Linguine which came with shrimp, mussels, clams, and fish. The wine sauce was a little too salty for me. Pretty satisfying portion. The burger that someone else in our party ordered looked really delicious - so I might get that next time. Service was a little slow but they often checked up on us and refilled our water. Overall, nice ambiance and a good date night spot. I want to try their brunch menu next!

This has been one of my go to spots for a while now for brunch or dinner. We decided to treat ourselves to Sunday brunch and got to enjoy the gorgeous day out on the back patio. We came close to closing time so service was pretty quick which was awesome considering they were pretty busy! But who doesn't love quick and nice service. Honestly the star of our brunch was the candied bacon it was so good we should have each gotten our own side of it. I also love that they have a variety of different Benedict's it makes it hard to pick.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! I have never been to mission hills and went here on a whim. I was able to sit at the bar (although ample seats were available in restaurant). Every single staff member was exceptional; I honestly don't remember the last time I felt so welcome and appreciated, so thank you for that! I started with a mimosa trio with fresh squeezed juice and it was very reasonably priced. The menu boasted lots of options and while it was hard to narrow it down, I went with the Monte Cristo...oh my yum. Wow. Just wow. And the homemade strawberry jam was amazing. Upgrade the breakfast potatoes to Parmesan & arugula and thank me later. I also was super interested in the lemon poppy seed pancakes, but didn't feel like I could possibly fit it. They offered single pancake and I took the bait...thank god. YUM. Can't wait to go back and try some more things!

I usually get the Machaca omelette when I come here but I tried the prosciutto Benedict and I would definitely recommend both options! They added candied bacon with the egg and prosciutto which was a really nice touch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I will definitely be back. I also really liked the rustic feel the restaurant gave off with all the antiques everywhere.

Like the atmosphere. Like the food. Like the service. Just had a very enjoyable meal here on a Saturday night. I've been wanting to try and convinced the GF to go. The parking was tough, but the experience was worth it. We started with a barrata artichoke flatbread. Lightly drizzled with balsamic, this has a nice texture and was a great starter. GF got the fish of the day, which was seabass on a basil risotto with crispy asparagus, blistered tomatoes, and summer squash. She really liked and I got a taste too. The risotto was a little under to me, but otherwise a fine dish. I got the Paccherri, which was a rustic pasta dish with fennel sausage and a red sauce. I really enjoyed it. Paired it with a Toscana Rosso and it went well. We finished with a Limoncelo cake paired with fresh berries. Not too sweet and a great palette cleanser. Highly, highly highly recommend.

This was such a cute spot to have a company dinner. We had the whole place to ourselves right before a very large conference to be held at the San Diego convention center. Beautiful rustic ambience and unique food was served. Definitely get the short ribs, I missed out on that one. I did like the artichoke app. Hearts and tummies were filled to the brim.

Vibey restaurant in HillCrest- we had reservations on Friday evening for dinner. I really like interior. Waiter was kind and attentive. We shared the plates and it was delicious! We got the burrata artichoke flatbread ($19.95), pork ossobuco ($34.95), and the roasted Brussels sprouts ($11). My favorite was the risotto and the pork ossobuco and roasted Brussels sprouts. The flatbread was tasty but not quite as flavorful. Overall, would love to visit again.

Another great spot for Friday Date Night. My husband and I came in around 6:30 and were quickly seated. I loved the warm lighting and cozy atmosphere here. The staff is also very attentive and quick to help answer questions. We kept it simple and just ordered main entrees. My husband went with the short rib and I had the pork osso buco. Both were really nice plated and tasty. We both surprisingly had enough room for dessert -- a rare occurrence -- so we split the chocolate lava cake which was the perfect finish to dinner.
